The Pincolini brothers purchased this 160 acre property in the 1890s. After the brothers death Russell C. Jensen and his wife Hulda purchased this property in the 1920s and created a building there. In 1935 Russell died and his wife sold this property to Dr. Raphael. The property was officially opened as a regional park in 1982. Today, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is Reno’s largest urban green space, covering approximately 580 acres.
