History of the Texas State Capitol

The Texas State Capitol has a history dating back to before it was even built. Texas had declared Austin the capital in 1839 and started passing laws in a two-room log cabin and with a small meeting house. As the work resources and infrastructure were required, they established a limestone house as the state capitol in 1853. But it became a failure of infrastructure for Texas, and it was destroyed by fire in 1881.
