Charter Bus Rental To Times Square
Start your trip where the city's energy is loudest. Times Square never really sleeps, and getting a full group through its crowds and Midtown traffic on your own can eat up more time than the visit itself. We'll drop your group right in the heart of the Theater District and be ready for pickup exactly when you're done — no circling for parking, no splitting into rideshares, no fighting the crowds solo. Whether it's a Broadway show shuttle, a corporate outing, or a first-time visitor group, we build the schedule around your plans, not the other way around.
Charter Bus Rental To Central Park
Covering all 843 acres of Central Park on foot isn't realistic for most groups, and with multiple entrances scattered around its perimeter, many first-time visitors don't realize how many ways there are in and out. Instead of forcing your group back to one single meeting point after hours of walking, our shuttle service lets you start wherever you like inside the park — near the Zoo, the Great Lawn, or Bethesda Terrace — and get picked up wherever you end up. It's a flexible option for school groups, tours, and families exploring at different paces. Ready to plan your Central Park group outing? Request pricing now.

The short answer for New York groups
In New York City, a full-size motorcoach with a driver usually costs $195 to $325 an hour and a minibus $165 to $250 an hour, with a 5-hour minimum. A full coach day runs about $1,900 to $3,000. Tolls, bus parking and the driver's tip are added on top.
New York is two very different places to run a bus. The city is dense, regulated and slow. Curb space is scarce, idling is limited to minutes, and some streets are closed to buses altogether. The rest of the state is long. Manhattan to Niagara Falls is a full day behind the wheel, and winter weather on the Thruway can stretch any schedule.
That is why we plan New York trips from the ground up: where the bus can legally stop, where it waits, how many hours the driver can work, and which operator is closest to your first pickup. Our charter bus pricing guide explains how each line of a quote is built.
- Service area
- All 62 counties, from Staten Island and Montauk to Plattsburgh and Buffalo, plus trips into New Jersey, New England, Pennsylvania and Ontario.
- Vehicles
- Sprinter vans (up to 14), minibuses (15 to 35), shuttle and school buses, party buses, executive coaches and 50 to 56-seat motorcoaches.
- Booking window
- 4 to 8 weeks ahead for ordinary dates. 3 to 6 months for graduations, December weekends and fall foliage Saturdays.
- City rules to know
- Manhattan's Congestion Relief Zone toll, designated bus layover areas, a 3-minute idling limit and a ban on buses on state parkways.
- Getting a price
- Send the date, pickup, drop-off and headcount through the quote form or call (308) 304-6668, any hour.
Seven regions on one route line
Think of New York as a single line running from the Atlantic to Lake Erie. Every stop has its own roads, rules and reasons to travel. Pick a region to see what groups book there, how we route the bus, and where to read more.
New York City: Manhattan and the outer boroughs
Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island
Most of our New York bookings start or end inside the five boroughs. A typical day looks like this: a school bus pickup in the Bronx, a museum drop on Fifth Avenue, a hotel shuttle to the Javits Center, or a coach of fans heading to Yankee Stadium or Citi Field. The driving is short. The planning is all about the curb.
In Manhattan, the bus drops your group and then waits at a designated layover area, often on the far West Side, until you call it back. We build that wait into the schedule so nobody stands on a corner for 40 minutes. In Brooklyn and Queens, residential side streets and low clearances shape the route, so tell us the exact building, not just the neighborhood.
Groups book it for
- School field trips and museum days
- Airport runs to JFK, LaGuardia and Newark
- Conference shuttles, Broadway nights and game days
Plan around: Manhattan south of 60th Street is in the Congestion Relief Zone, and buses pay the toll on entry.
Long Island: Nassau, Suffolk and the East End
Jones Beach, the North Fork, the Hamptons and Montauk
Long Island is where New York's parkway rule matters most. The Northern State and Southern State parkways are closed to buses because of their low stone bridges. Every coach, minibus and school bus here runs on the Long Island Expressway, Sunrise Highway or local routes. That can add time to a trip that looks short on a phone map, so we quote from real bus routing.
Summer is the busy season: beach days, North Fork winery tours, East End weddings and corporate retreats. On wedding weekends, venues and hotels are spread out, so we often recommend two smaller vehicles that run shuttle loops instead of one large coach.
Groups book it for
- Wine-country tours and beach outings
- Hamptons and North Shore weddings
- Transfers from Long Island MacArthur Airport
Plan around: Friday afternoon eastbound traffic. Leave before noon or after 7 p.m. when you can.
Hudson Valley and Westchester
White Plains, Yonkers, West Point, Beacon, Poughkeepsie and Kingston
The valley north of the city is the classic day trip: art at Storm King or Dia Beacon, apple picking, wineries and a lot of fall foliage. Westchester also has a busy corporate side. Office parks around White Plains book employee shuttles and offsite days, and Westchester County Airport in White Plains is a handy arrival point for small groups.
The scenic roads here are the problem. The Taconic and Saw Mill parkways look like the fastest way north, but buses are not allowed on them. Your driver will use the Thruway (I-87), I-684 or US-9 instead. Allow an extra 15 to 30 minutes over what a car app shows.
Groups book it for
- Foliage, orchard and winery day trips
- Weddings at estates and barns
- Corporate shuttles around White Plains
Plan around: Rural venues with narrow drives. Ask whether a 45-foot coach can turn around on site.
Capital Region and Saratoga
Albany, Schenectady, Troy and Saratoga Springs
Albany draws school groups and advocacy days to the Capitol and Empire State Plaza, along with state agency and legislative travel. Thirty minutes north, Saratoga Springs fills up in summer with the race meet and concerts at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Hotels there book far ahead, and so do buses.
The Capital Region is also a handoff point. Groups flying into Albany International often continue to Lake George, Lake Placid or Cooperstown, so one bus can cover the airport pickup and the whole onward trip.
Groups book it for
- Capitol visits and lobbying days
- Saratoga race and concert outings
- Airport-to-resort transfers
Plan around: Summer weekends in Saratoga. Book 3 or more months out for July and August dates.
Adirondacks and the North Country
Lake George, Lake Placid, the Thousand Islands and Plattsburgh
This is overnight country. Lake Placid is about five hours from Manhattan, and the Thousand Islands are farther. Most groups stay at least one night, which means a hotel room for the driver and a schedule built around federal rest rules. Ski clubs head to Whiteface and Gore in winter. Summer brings camps, scouts, family reunions and church retreats.
The Northway (I-87) is the spine of the region. Off it, two-lane mountain roads and resort driveways shape what size vehicle works. A minibus is often the better fit for lodges and trailheads, even for a group that would fill a coach.
Groups book it for
- Ski trips and winter sports teams
- Summer camps and retreats
- Multi-day tours with lake cruises
Plan around: Snow from November to April. We add weather buffer to every winter quote.
Central New York and the Finger Lakes
Syracuse, Ithaca, Binghamton, Cooperstown and the wine trails
Central New York runs on colleges and youth sports. Syracuse University and Cornell bring campus visits, athletics travel and graduation weekends. Cooperstown hosts baseball tournaments and Hall of Fame trips all summer. Around Seneca, Cayuga and Keuka lakes, winery tours are the main event from May through October.
Winery days need a sober plan. Many wineries ask buses to reserve a tasting slot in advance, and some cap group size. We build the stops around those reservations, and we recommend a minibus for groups under 30 because some winery lots are tight.
Groups book it for
- Wine-trail tours and bachelorette weekends
- College visits and team travel
- Youth baseball tournaments in Cooperstown
Plan around: Graduation weekends in May. Rooms and buses both sell out early.
Western New York
Buffalo, Rochester, Niagara Falls and the Lake Erie shore
Western New York is a world apart from the city. Buffalo groups book buses for Bills home games in Orchard Park, Sabres nights, and conventions downtown. Rochester books corporate and university travel. Niagara Falls is the most requested day trip in the state, and many groups want to see the falls from the Canadian side too.
Crossing into Ontario turns a simple day into an international trip. Every rider needs a border-ready document, and the operator has to be set up for cross-border work. Tell us at the quote stage if Canada is on the plan. Lake-effect snow is the other local factor. Buffalo winters can close roads with little warning.
Groups book it for
- Niagara Falls tours on both sides
- NFL and NHL game-day travel
- Corporate and university trips in Rochester
Plan around: Border wait times on summer weekends. Leave 30 to 60 minutes of slack in the schedule.

Niagara Falls tips
Choose the vehicle by headcount, then by the streets it must use
Seat count picks the class of vehicle. In New York, the destination often decides the final size. A 56-seat coach is the cheapest seat per rider on the Thruway, but a pair of minibuses may be the smarter choice for Brooklyn brownstones or a winery lane in the Finger Lakes. The bars below show each vehicle's seat range on a 0 to 60 scale.
The easiest vehicle to place at a Manhattan curb. Fits hotel driveways and airport arrival lanes, and works well for executives, bridal parties and crews with gear.
A budget pick for short local runs. Luggage space is limited once every seat is full, so it suits day trips more than airport transfers.
Stand-up headroom and a rear luggage area. A favorite for Long Island and Hudson Valley wedding loops between a hotel and the venue.
The workhorse for New York. Big enough for a class or a corporate team, small enough for side streets, winery lots and mountain lodges. See all minibus rentals.
Built for short, repeated loops: conference hotels to the Javits Center, parking lots to a stadium, or a campus move-in day.
Perimeter seating, lighting and sound for proms, birthdays and nights out. Party buses in New York are inspected by NYSDOT like any other bus.
The lowest cost per seat for short field trips and camp runs. No restroom or under-floor storage, so keep rides under about two hours.
Fewer, wider seats with tables and workspace. Used for board offsites, investor tours and client entertainment days.
Restroom, reclining seats and under-floor bays for luggage. The right call for long hauls like NYC to Niagara Falls, Boston or Washington, D.C. Also see the 50-passenger charter bus and full-size charter bus.
More than 56 riders?
We book a fleet and run it as one trip, with matching departure times and a lead driver. For a choice between one big coach and two smaller buses, read one charter bus or two minibuses.
Not sure which size?
Count riders, then add bags, instruments or wheelchairs. Our guide to what size charter bus you need walks through it, or browse every vehicle on the vehicles page.
What a charter bus costs in New York
New York City sits at the top of the national price range. Driver wages, insurance, garage costs and slow traffic all add up, and the city's demand peaks hard in spring and December. The rates below come from our national charter bus rental cost guide. Your quote will list each charge on its own line.
| Vehicle | Per hour | Minimum | Full day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Motorcoach, NYC metro | $195–$325 | 5 hours | $1,900–$3,000 |
| Minibus, NYC metro | $165–$250 | 5 hours | Ask for a day rate |
| Sprinter van | $105–$210 | 4 hours | $950–$1,800 |
| Long-distance coach | About $6.50–$8.00 per mile, billed when miles add up to more than hours | ||
Sprinter and per-mile figures are national ranges. Upstate trips are quoted from the nearest operator's local rates. Peak dates such as graduations, holidays and big game days can add 10 to 20 percent.
Charges you'll see on a New York quote
- Congestion Relief Zone toll
- Charged when the bus enters Manhattan at or below 60th Street. At current peak E-ZPass rates that is $14.40 for a charter bus or $21.60 for a tour bus, with lower overnight rates.
- Bridge and tunnel tolls
- MTA and Port Authority crossings charge buses by axle or class. We pass these through at cost.
- Bus parking
- Manhattan's metered bus spaces and paid lots at stadiums, airports and attractions.
- Deadhead miles
- The empty drive from the bus yard to your pickup. Many NYC coaches are based in New Jersey, Queens or the Bronx.
- Gratuity and driver hotel
- A 10 to 20 percent tip is customary. Overnight trips add a room for the driver. See who pays for the driver's hotel.
Sample: museum day in Manhattan
45 students from Queens, one motorcoach, 6-hour weekday block, drop at a Midtown museum
- Base fare, 6 h × $195–$325$1,170–$1,950
- Congestion zone entry, peak$14.40
- Bridge tolls and bus parkingAt cost
- Driver gratuity, 10–20%$117–$390
- Estimated total$1,301–$2,354
About $29 to $52 per student before tolls and parking. Moving the stop north of 60th Street, to the Met for example, can remove the zone toll.
Sample: one-way NYC to Niagara Falls
50 adults, one motorcoach, roughly 410 miles, drop at a Niagara Falls hotel
- Mileage, 410 × $6.50–$8.00$2,665–$3,280
- Thruway and city tollsAt cost
- Driver hotel, if the bus returns next day1 room
- Driver gratuity, 10–20%$267–$656
- Estimated total$2,932–$3,936
About $59 to $79 per rider. A 7-hour-plus drive fits one driver's daily limit one way, but not a same-day round trip.
Eight rules that shape a bus day in New York City
New York has more rules for charter and tour buses than any other U.S. city we serve. None of them stop a trip, but each one changes the plan. Here is what the rule says and what it means for your group. The BUSXOXO parking page covers our general pickup and drop-off guidelines.
Every trip needs a route slip
City traffic rules require bus operators to prepare a detailed route slip before the trip. Buses must follow the truck route network except for the most direct path to a stop.
For you: send every stop and address before the trip. Last-minute additions in Manhattan can be refused if the street is off-limits to buses.
The bus waits at a layover area
Buses may only park or lay over where it is posted. Many of NYC DOT's Manhattan layover spaces sit on the far West Side, in the West 40s and 50s near 11th and 12th Avenues, with others uptown.
For you: the bus usually can't sit outside your venue. Plan a 15 to 25-minute call-back for pickup.
Bus parking is metered and scarce
Parking a bus outside an authorized space is prohibited. Metered bus spaces must be paid, and idling is not allowed in them. Long stays need a paid lot.
For you: parking fees show up on your quote at cost. Full-day Manhattan charters often include a lot outside the core.
Engines off after three minutes
City law limits idling to three minutes, and to one minute next to a school. The rule applies to buses and is enforced through a citizen complaint program.
For you: on hot or cold days, board as soon as the bus arrives so the driver can run climate control while moving.
Lower Manhattan is restricted
Bus traffic is banned on many Lower Manhattan streets for safety and security reasons, and parking there is very limited. NYC DOT encourages groups visiting the 9/11 Memorial to finish the trip by transit.
For you: we drop near the edge of the district and walk the group in, or pair the bus with a ferry or subway leg.
Holiday rules from November to January
Each holiday season, NYC DOT adds temporary turn bans, no pick-up and drop-off zones and extra bus parking in Midtown to handle the crowds around the tree, the windows and Broadway.
For you: December trips need the most slack in the schedule. Book early and expect a longer walk to the bus.
The Congestion Relief Zone toll
Vehicles pay a toll when they enter Manhattan at or below 60th Street. The FDR Drive and West Side Highway are excluded. Charter and tour buses are not eligible for the commuter bus exemption.
For you: keep stops above 60th Street when it makes sense, and ask us how many zone entries your route creates.
No buses on state parkways
New York's parkways were built for cars, and some bridges over them clear as little as 6 feet 11 inches. Commercial vehicles, including buses, are not allowed on them.
For you: a car app's travel time can be wrong for a bus. We quote from commercial routing.
Official sources: NYC DOT charter and tour bus rules, Manhattan bus layover locations, MTA Congestion Relief Zone, NYC DEP idling rules and the NYSDOT and NYC DOT parkway restriction sheet.
Where the bus can stop at New York's big landmarks
Most first-time planners pick the attraction and assume the bus will pull up to the door. In New York, the drop-off, the waiting spot and the pickup are three separate decisions. This list covers the places groups ask about most. Each tag shows whether the stop sits inside Manhattan's Congestion Relief Zone.
Times Square and the Theater District
Midtown WestIn the toll zoneShow nights are the hardest pickups in the city. Theaters let out at nearly the same time, and the side streets fill with cars. We set a pickup corner a block or two west, toward 8th or 9th Avenue, and send the bus from its layover area on your signal.
Central Park
59th to 110th StreetsMostly outside the zoneGroups often enter at the south end near 59th Street and leave from a different gate. Pick both meeting points before the day, give each chaperone the cross street, and the bus can meet you on the far side of the park.
The Met and Museum Mile
Fifth Avenue, Upper East SideOutside the zoneFifth Avenue museums sit north of 60th Street, so a direct route from Queens or the Bronx can avoid the toll. School groups should confirm the museum's group entrance and arrival window when they book tickets.
MoMA, Grand Central and the Empire State Building

Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
Battery Park or Liberty State Park, NJBattery is in the zoneFerries leave from Battery Park in Manhattan and from Liberty State Park in Jersey City. For a large group arriving by bus, the New Jersey side is often simpler, with more room to unload and park.

Lower ManhattanIn the toll zoneLower Manhattan's bus restrictions make a door drop unlikely. Expect a walk of several blocks, or pair the visit with a ferry or subway leg as NYC DOT suggests.
Madison Square Garden

Yankee Stadium, Citi Field and MetLife Stadium
Bronx, Queens and East Rutherford, NJOutside the zoneStadiums have bus lots, but the exit queue after the final out or whistle can be long. Agree on a bus number and lot section before kickoff, and leave a few minutes early if you have a tight return.

Three New York trips, planned stop by stop
These sample plans show how we turn a destination into a working bus schedule. Times are realistic for a weekday with normal traffic. Your own plan can borrow the structure, and our charter bus itinerary template has a blank version to fill in.
Museum Mile day for a Bronx middle school
52 students and chaperones, one motorcoach, 6-hour block
- 8:15 a.m.Board at school. Headcount on the bus, not the sidewalk.
- 9:00 a.m.Drop at the Met on Fifth Avenue. The bus moves to an uptown layover area.
- 12:00 p.m.Walk into Central Park for lunch near the Great Lawn.
- 1:30 p.m.Pickup on Fifth Avenue at an agreed cross street.
- 2:15 p.m.Back at school with time for dismissal.
Why it works: every stop stays north of 60th Street, so the route avoids the Congestion Relief Zone toll and Midtown traffic.
Hudson Valley foliage Saturday from Midtown
34 adults from a social club, one minibus, 10-hour day
- 8:30 a.m.Depart a Midtown hotel and head up the Thruway (I-87).
- 10:00 a.m.Two hours at an outdoor sculpture park in Orange County.
- 12:30 p.m.Lunch and shops in a river town such as Beacon.
- 2:30 p.m.Orchard stop for apple picking and cider.
- 6:30 p.m.Back in Manhattan before evening theater traffic.
Why it works: the minibus handles orchard lanes and village parking, and the route stays on the Thruway instead of the Taconic and other parkways, which don't allow buses.
Niagara Falls on both sides from Rochester
26 adults on a company outing, one minibus, 10-hour block
- 8:00 a.m.Depart Rochester. Collect border documents during boarding.
- 9:45 a.m.Niagara Falls State Park on the U.S. side, with a boat ride in season.
- 1:00 p.m.Cross into Ontario for lunch with a view of the Horseshoe Falls.
- 3:30 p.m.Return crossing. Allow time for the inspection line.
- 5:30 p.m.Arrive back in Rochester.
Why it works: one border crossing each way, with slack built around both. Every rider carries a passport, passport card, enhanced license or NEXUS card, as listed on the CBP travel page.
How far is it from Manhattan, really?
Distance decides more than the price. Federal rules allow a bus driver up to 10 hours of driving after 8 hours off duty, and no driving after the 15th hour on duty. Time spent waiting for your group counts toward that 15-hour window.
So a long day trip is not just a question of miles. A Niagara Falls run is legal one way in a day, but a same-day round trip is not, so the plan needs an overnight or a second driver. Our guide on whether the bus stays with your group explains how waiting time is billed.
- YesRound trip fits one driver with room for a full visit.
- TightPossible only with a short visit and no delays.
- NoNeeds an overnight stay or a second driver.

Three checks before any New York bus carries your group
New York regulates passenger carriers on top of the federal rules, which gives you more ways to check a company. You can run all three checks yourself in about ten minutes, and we run them for every operator we book.
- Federal check
USDOT number and safety record
Any company carrying passengers across state lines needs active authority from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Search the USDOT number on FMCSA SAFER to see its operating status, insurance and inspection history.
Ask: "What is your USDOT number, and is the authority active for passengers?"
- State check
NYSDOT authority and bus inspections
Carriers paid to move passengers within New York generally need operating authority from the state Department of Transportation. Their buses must pass a NYSDOT safety inspection at least every six months, and the vehicle shows a current inspection sticker.
Ask: "Is the bus assigned to us inside its six-month NYSDOT inspection?"
- Driver check
CDL and the 19-A program
Drivers of larger passenger vehicles need a commercial driver's license with a passenger endorsement. New York's Article 19-A rules add medical exams, road tests and record reviews for many bus drivers. The NY DMV passenger carrier page explains who is covered.
Ask: "Are your drivers enrolled in 19-A, and how many hours will ours have worked before pickup?"
How BUSXOXO books New York operators
BUSXOXO is a booking partner, not a single bus yard. We match your trip with a licensed local operator, confirm the vehicle and driver plan, and stay your single point of contact from the quote to the drive home.
Read more about our standards on the safety and trust page and our model on About BUSXOXO.
What we confirm before we confirm your trip
- Active USDOT passenger authority and insurance on file
- NYSDOT authority for trips that stay inside New York
- Vehicle size that fits every stop on your route
- A driver schedule that stays within hours-of-service limits
- Cross-border readiness when Canada is on the plan
Six questions our New York dispatch will ask you
A New York quote is only as good as the details behind it. These are the questions we ask on almost every call, and why each one changes the price or the plan. Have the answers ready and your quote comes back faster and closer to the final bill.
What is the exact pickup address, and is there a loading dock or driveway?
A Manhattan street address tells us whether a bus can legally stop there. A hotel driveway or school loop can save a block-long walk with luggage.
Do any stops fall south of 60th Street in Manhattan?
Each entry into the Congestion Relief Zone adds a toll, and Midtown traffic adds time to the hourly block.
How long will the group spend at each stop?
Waiting time counts toward the driver's 15-hour duty limit and decides whether the bus waits at a layover or returns later.
How many bags, instruments, strollers or wheelchairs?
Gear can push a group from a minibus to a coach. Lift-equipped buses need extra notice, so tell us early. See charter bus luggage capacity.
Will anyone leave the country or the state?
An Ontario crossing needs a cross-border operator and documents for every rider. Interstate trips need federal authority.
Are there several pickup points?
Extra stops add time and route complexity. Our guide to multiple pickup locations shows how to keep them short.

Still unsure? Call (308) 304-6668 and talk it through with a planner.
How much does it cost to rent a charter bus in New York City?
In New York City, a motorcoach usually costs $195 to $325 an hour and a minibus $165 to $250 an hour, with a 5-hour minimum. A full coach day runs about $1,900 to $3,000. Tolls, bus parking and a 10 to 20 percent driver tip are added on top. Send your date and route for an exact, itemized quote.
Do charter buses pay the Manhattan congestion toll?
Yes. Charter and tour buses pay when they enter Manhattan at or below 60th Street, and they can't use the commuter bus exemption. At current peak E-ZPass rates the toll is $14.40 for a charter bus or $21.60 for a tour bus, and overnight rates are lower. Keeping stops above 60th Street can avoid it.
Where does the bus wait while our group is in Manhattan?
Buses can only park or lay over in spaces the city has set aside, and most of Manhattan's layover areas are on the far West Side or uptown. The driver drops your group, moves to a layover or a paid lot, and returns when you call. Plan 15 to 25 minutes for the bus to come back.
Can a charter bus drive on New York's parkways?
No. Buses are not allowed on New York State parkways, including the Taconic, the Saw Mill and the Northern and Southern State parkways on Long Island. Some bridges over them clear less than 7 feet. Drivers use interstates and truck routes instead, which can add time compared with a car app.
How far ahead should we book a bus in New York?
Book 4 to 8 weeks ahead for ordinary dates. For April and May field trips, June graduations, October foliage Saturdays and December weekends, book 3 to 6 months ahead. Last-minute trips are sometimes possible, so call (308) 304-6668 and we'll check what's available.
Can we take a charter bus from New York to Niagara Falls and into Canada?
Yes. NYC to Niagara Falls is about 410 miles and a full day of driving, so most groups stay overnight. For the Canadian side, every rider needs a passport, passport card, enhanced driver's license or NEXUS card, and the operator must be set up for cross-border trips. Tell us about Canada when you request a quote.
Is the driver's tip included in the price?
No. A tip of 10 to 20 percent of the base fare is customary and is usually paid at the end of the trip or added to the invoice. Some schools and companies prefer to include it up front so drivers are paid the same way on every trip.
What size bus do I need for my group?
Up to 14 riders fit a Sprinter van, 15 to 35 a minibus, and 36 to 56 a full-size motorcoach. Add space for luggage, instruments or wheelchairs. In tight spots like Brooklyn side streets or winery lanes, two minibuses can work better than one coach.
How do I check that a New York bus company is safe?
Search the company's USDOT number on FMCSA SAFER to confirm active passenger authority, insurance and inspection history. For trips within New York, the operator generally needs NYSDOT authority, and its buses must pass a state inspection every six months. Ask about driver licensing and 19-A enrollment too.
Can one bus do a same-day round trip from NYC to Buffalo or Lake Placid?
Not with one driver. Federal rules allow 10 hours of driving per shift, and NYC to Buffalo is about 7 hours each way. Trips that long need an overnight stay with a driver hotel or a second driver. Albany and Philadelphia are easy same-day round trips.
Do you provide buses for JFK, LaGuardia and Newark airport transfers?
Yes. We run group transfers for all three airports and for Albany, Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo. Buses usually stage near the terminal and pull up once the group has its bags. For groups on different flights, we plan pickup waves around the arrival times.
Can the bus wait for us at a game, wedding or event?
Yes. You can book the bus to stay with your group for the full block, or to drop off and return at a set time. In Manhattan the driver waits at a layover area rather than outside the venue. At stadiums and many upstate venues, the bus can usually wait in a designated lot.
